This Privacy Policy explains how Qualigent Technologies Private Limited (“Qualigent”, “we”, “our”) handles personal information collected through qualigent.tech and any related websites we operate (together, the “Site”), as well as the mobile applications we publish that link to this policy — including apps distributed through app stores such as the Google Play Store (the “Apps”). The Site and the Apps are together referred to as our “Services”.
We are an Indian company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U62013KA2026PTC219874) with our registered office in Bengaluru. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), we act as a Data Fiduciary for any personal data you provide to us directly through this Site.
What we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. The categories we may handle are:
- Information you give us through our contact forms — your name, email address, phone (where applicable), school name or company (where applicable) and the contents of your message. When you submit one of our contact forms, this information is stored securely in Cloud Firestore (a database service provided by Google) so we can read, respond to and follow up on your enquiry.
- Server logs — like every website, our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, user-agent string, originating page and timestamp. These are used for security, debugging and to keep the Site running, and are stored alongside the submission for a limited period.
- App and device information — when you use our Apps, we may process basic technical data such as device model, operating system and app version, along with crash and diagnostic logs, so we can keep the Apps stable and secure. Where an App sends notifications, we process a push-notification token for that purpose. Our Apps do not use advertising identifiers or serve behavioural advertising.
We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers or behavioural cookies on this Site. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the change reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
Why we collect it
We use your information only to:
- respond to your enquiry or message;
- maintain the security and reliability of the Site; and
- comply with applicable Indian law.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
The only entities that may process your data on our behalf are:
- Google Firebase Hosting (provided by Alphabet Inc., United States) — for serving the Site.
- Google Cloud Firestore (provided by Alphabet Inc., United States) — for storing contact-form submissions.
- Google Cloud Functions (provided by Alphabet Inc., United States) — for accepting and validating contact-form submissions before storage.
These act as Data Processors under the DPDP Act. We do not share your data with anyone else without your consent unless required to do so by law.
Mobile apps and app stores
Some of our products — including GitReady and MySkul — are also offered as Android apps distributed through the Google Play Store. These apps present our web products inside an app shell (a Trusted Web Activity), so the data practices of the underlying product apply.
- Each product app carries its own privacy policy and a Google Play Data safety disclosure that sets out exactly what that app collects and why. Where an app links to this policy, this policy governs.
- If an app uses diagnostics or analytics (for example, Google’s Firebase suite) to stay stable and secure, we disclose it in that app’s Data safety section. We do not use this data for advertising.
- Our apps request only the device permissions they need (such as notifications); you can review or revoke these at any time in your Android settings.
- Downloading and updating apps through Google Play is also subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy; we do not control Google’s processing of your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages for as long as is reasonably needed to respond and follow up — typically no longer than two years from your last interaction with us — unless you ask us to keep them longer or we are required to retain them by law.
Deleting your account and your data
For any of our products that let you create an account, you can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it:
- from within the app or product, where a delete option is provided; or
- by writing to admin@qualigent.tech with the subject line “Delete My Account”.
We will delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records by law or need them to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Where we process data on behalf of an institution (see below), deletion is handled together with that institution.
Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction or completion of inaccurate data;
- request erasure of your data;
- nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity; and
- file a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below).
To exercise any of these rights, write to admin@qualigent.tech with the subject line “Data Request”. We will respond within the timelines required by the DPDP Act.

Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers (notably Google Firebase) process data outside India. We rely on the contractual and technical safeguards offered by these providers, and on the protections of the DPDP Act for any personal data that originates in India.
Children and student data
The qualigent.tech Site and our direct-to-consumer apps are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through them.
Our school product, MySkul, necessarily processes student information that may include data about children. In that context we act as a Data Processor on behalf of, and under the documented instructions of, the educational institution that uses the product (which is the Data Fiduciary). Such processing is governed by our agreement with the institution and by that product’s own privacy notice. We do not use student or children’s data for advertising, behavioural profiling or any purpose beyond delivering the service, consistent with the DPDP Act.
If you believe a child has provided us personal data outside this institutional context, please contact us so we can delete it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we receive — including HTTPS for our Services, encrypted email transport in transit and access controls on internal systems. No system is perfectly secure; if you become aware of a vulnerability, please report it to us at the address above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change or as the law requires. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. We encourage you to revisit this page from time to time.
